Sharing my notes from something the Lord showed me last night… Rev 12 is not just about the birth of Christ, but is also about the birth of Christ IN us. A picture of being born again. The war between flesh and Spirit. Circumcision of the heart. A picture of Christ giving His people victory and overcoming the flesh (the world IN us) by His Spirit.
And there appeared a great wonder in heaven (person filled w the Spirit); a woman clothed with the sun (Christs church, both men and women, clothed with Christs righteousness), and the moon under her feet (treading on serpents/ victorious), and upon her head a crown of twelve stars: And she being with child (Spirit indwelling) cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered (Spirit at war w the flesh). And there appeared another wonder in heaven (seperation of flesh and Spirit); and behold a great red dragon (the old man/ flesh), having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads (kingdom of flesh/ beast). And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth (old man): and the dragon (flesh) stood before the woman (Spirit indwelling) which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born (the birds come to snatch up the seeds/ enemy is a roaring lion). And she brought forth a man child (Christ in you), who was to rule all nations (IN you/ over the flesh) with a rod of iron (Christ comes as a conquering King over our flesh): and her child (Christ in you) was caught up unto God, and to his throne (the new heart) . And the woman (Christ in you/ church/ bride/ both men and women) fled into the wilderness (being alone w God where He teaches us/ we feed on Him), where she hath a place prepared of God (in Christ), that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days. And there was war in heaven: Michael (this is a title for Jesus/ archangel means head messenger/ one who is like God) and his angels (those in Christ) fought against the dragon (flesh); and the dragon fought and his angels, And prevailed not (we are victorious in Christ) ; neither was their place found any more in heaven (the antichrist Spirit is kicked out of our hearts when Christ comes in). And the great dragon was cast out (of the heart of man when Christ comes in), that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth (separation of flesh and Spirit), and his angels were cast out with him. And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night (this is the gospel… what Christ does when we are born again). And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word (Spirit) of their testimony (Christ); and they loved not their lives (flesh) unto the death. Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth (flesh) and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time. And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth (out of the heart of someone who is born again), he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child (flesh vs Spirit) . And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle (Holy Spirit) , that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place (in Christ), where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent. And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood (deception/ false doctrine/ daily battle) after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood. And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth. And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed (those we speak to about Christ/nflesh vs Spirit IN us/ nations IN us), which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony (Spirit) of Jesus Christ.
